Our entire team is dedicated to providing you with personalized care that is state of the art and excellent service to make your visits as comfortable and pleasant as possible.
We Are A "Mercury-Free" Office
The controversy about the safety and health implications of silver-mercury fillings still wages on. Our office feels that "silver-mercury" fillings are an outmoded and outdated material of the past (they have been in
existence since pre-civil war days). Today's technology has given us far superior, safer and more esthetic materials to use in restoring a patient's dental health. The new resin and ceramic materials are superior for several reasons. These new materials can mechanically and chemically bond to natural tooth structure. Silver mercury fillings do not bond in this manner and can "leak" and result in decay under fillings. The new materials are also superior because they expand and contract in a manner very similar to a natural tooth. This has helped to eliminate the cracks and sensitivity previously seen with the older silver fillings. For more information on this, please see our section on "What is Under Your Silver Fillings".
Training & Expertise
As your dental health professionals, we want you to be confident knowing that we are a team of highly trained and skilled clinicians. We are proud that our office uses only digital x-rays, which significantly decreases exposure to our patients. We are also one of the few offices in Central Florida that possess the newest technology that allow our patients to get their crowns completed in one and not two (or more) visits. We pride ourselves in providing the care you need to keep your smile healthy. To give you the best possible service and results, we are committed to continual education and learning. We attend dental meetings, and dental conventions to stay informed of new techniques, the latest products, and the newest equipment that a modern dental office can utilize to provide state-of-the-art dental care. Also, being members of the American Dental Association(ADA), the Florida Dental Association(FDA) and the Dental Society of Greater Orlando(DSGO) helps us to stay abreast of the changes and recommendations for our profession
Education & Prevention
As a practice, we are true believers that preventative care and education are the keys to optimal dental health. We strive to provide "dental health care" vs. "disease care". That's why we focus on thorough exams - checking the health of your teeth and gums, performing oral cancer exams, and taking digital x-rays only when necessary. We also know that routine cleaning, flossing , sealants, and fluoride are all helpful in preventing dental disease. Not only are we focused on the beauty of your smile, we're also concerned about your health. A review of your medical history can help us stay informed of your overall health, any new medications, and any illnesses that may impact your dental health.
Infection control in our office is also very important to us. To protect our patients and ourselves, we strictly maintain sterilization and cross contamination processes using standards recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
We thank you for allowing us to take care of your dental needs and look forward to serving you.
