ACCESSIBILITY

WE LOVE SMILES OF ALL AGES

WE TRUELY ARE A FAMILY PRACTICE.

We encourage introducing children to dental care at an early age, normally 2 years old.   We believe that exposing children at a young age to a pleasant dental experience can affect how they view dentistry. Making sure children are relaxed and have fun at the dentist is important to a lifetime of good dental care.

The extra time and attention we give our young patients is one way in which we make their dental visit a happy one.  We feel it is important to introduce them slowly and at a pace they and their parents are comfortable with.  Taking good care of baby teeth helps them hold spaces and avoid orthodontic crowding at a later age.  Our young patients are the highlight of our day and the whole office looks forward to seeing them.

TIPS TO MAKE YOUR CHILD'S FIRST DENTAL VISIT NONSTRESSFULL

1.   DO NOT tell them ahead of time that they are going to the dentist.  Tell them the morning of and be very casual about it.   Other adults and children are more than ready to tell them about bad experiences and set the wrong atmosphere.  Let the child decide for himself, uninfluenced by other people.

2.  DO NOT say "It won't hurt.".  Children are very intuitive and will immediately associate the visit with hurting.  After all, you don't say it won't hurt when you go the grocery store or the mall.
